Upcoming replacement of the cooling towers atop Hodges Library will disrupt traffic and partially block Melrose Avenue access to Hodges Library.
Between December 11 and January 6, visitors to Hodges Library can expect closure of Melrose Avenue between Hess Hall and Hodges Library’s west entrance, as well as intermittent closures of the Hodges Library’s west entrance doors.
MELROSE AVENUE and STAFF PARKING LOT 12 will be CLOSED entirely on December 11 and 12.
The upper east portion of Lot 12 will remain closed throughout the construction project. After December 12, the west upper portion of Lot 12 will be accessible from the west end of Melrose Avenue, and TWO-WAY TRAFFIC on a portion of Melrose Avenue will allow entrance and exit. The lower (north) portion of Lot 12 will be accessible from Volunteer Blvd. by turning west onto Melrose Place.
