The Libraries’ Storage Reading Room in Hoskins Library (1401 Cumberland Ave.) is now open for both walk-in and “by appointment” access, Monday – Friday.
Many older issues of periodicals and virtually all microfilm (with the exception of Tennessee newspapers and serials) are housed in the Storage unit. When UTK users need access to several volumes or to multiple microfilm reels, they are advised to visit the Storage Reading Room, 15A Hoskins Library. Microfilm readers/printers and scanners are available on site. Items also may be checked out. The Storage Reading Room is open Monday – Friday, 12:30 – 4:30 — or by appointment on weekday mornings (contact: 865-974-6214 or closedstacks@utk.edu).
The Storage Reading Room offers several material delivery options: “Scan on Demand” desktop delivery of articles and chapters; loan delivery to campus departments; and loans held for pick-up at library branches.
